According to Lookonchain, this anonymous investor previously converted nearly $8 million of Solana into AI-centric altcoins, namely AI Rig Complex (ARC) and ai16z (AI16z). “Yesterday, the mysterious whale took out another 25,306 SOL, valued at $5 million, from Coinbase, likely to boost their AI token holdings,” Lookonchain reported. The whale had initially spent 38,138 SOL, equivalent to $7.8 million, in acquiring ARC and AI16z.
These developments have turned the spotlight onto AI tokens, with AI16z currently priced at $0.4746—a dip of 8.9% within the last 24 hours. With Ethereum oscillating around the $2,678 mark after a dip below $3,000, whales recently withdrew an impressive 49,250 ETH—worth $131 million—from major exchanges Binance and Bitfinex.
